Thanks for visiting our website and learning more about our family journey. Sometimes life gives you lemons and the best option is always to make lemonade! In other words, make the best of the situation that you have been given. We both got laid off last year and became new parents to a beautiful baby girl. After a series of  failed job interviews we decided to make it a family-focused summer. The crossroads in our life led us to the decision of  fulfilling a life-long dream to visit all 30 MLB ballparks, conduct a national job search, see almost every state in our beautiful country and  bond with our new baby girl. During our journey we also collected baseball items from each MLB team to auction off for charity and helped raised funds to benefit girls and women in sports. We welcome you to browse our website and hope it offers you inspiration.

January 24, 2010 (The Washington D.C.)- Top female leaders in the sports industry led a panel to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The keynote speaker was Nancy Lieberman, Head Coach of the NBA D-League Dallas Affiliate and also the first woman ever to coach a pro-basketball men's team.

"Fear is paralyzing," said Lieberman who spoke in front of a crowd of mostly high school students from the D.C. Metro area. "I don't know everything, but I know plenty of people who do. Ask for advice". Lieberman is considered a pioneer in women's sports and served as president of the Women's Sports Foundation from 1998-2000. 30 ballparks and a Baby raised funds this summer for the Foundation during their ballpark tour.

Also on the panel: Angela Taylor, General Manager of the
Washington Mystics, Dr. Debbie Yow, UMD Athletic Director and Val Ackerman, Founding President of the WNBA who  gave out their share of advice during the open forum held at the University of Maryland's Comcast Center.

Sofia did plenty of networking with the successful panelists and later caught an action-packed
women's basketball game between the Lady Terps vs Duke.

On the court: The Maryland Lady Terps took on 6th ranked Duke. The game came down to the wire. The Lady Terps were down by three and with only seconds left on the clock  they took a three pointer but fell short. Duke shot back to put two more points on the scoreboard. Duke was up by four when the Lady Terps made a buzzer-beating three point shot into the basket but it wasn't enough to take the lead. Duke won 55-54.
